Make Some New Friends
You are always welcome at Westheights Women's Ministries events. Our Ministry Statement is as follows: ""There are women who care about you, your family, your faith journey, your growth."
We want women to connect with each other. The events we offer include Bible studies, Mug and Muffin and Ladies Time Outs.
Women's Bible Studies
On Tuesday evenings, we offer indepth Bible studies for those who are looking for growth. We offer three series per year, beginning in January, June and September.
We have a daytime Bible study which runs from September until May. Childcare is provided at the daytime Bible study which has a more laid-back feel and open discussion.
Mug 'n Muffin
This is a one-hour opportunity to connect and re-connect with the women of Westheights church. One of our own Westheights women will share a 15-minute "faith story." The remaining 45 minutes is left for fellowship. Bring a friend and your favourite mug and we will supply the muffins and coffee/tea. This event runs every other month, on the last Saturday of the month.
Women's Retreat
Our 2009 retreat was a great success. Another event is planned for May of 2010. The details will be announced as the event gest closer. This is a chance to grow, relax, and bond. The weekend has time not only for growth, but to have some alone time to just relax and rejuvenate, along with some fun times for bonding with other Westheights women.
Plans in the Works
Mentor Events and "Girls' Night Out". We welcome any suggestions you may have and you are more than welcome to get involved in the Westheights' Women's Ministry if you feel this is something for you. The goal of Westheights' Women's Ministry is to minister to the needs of women in Westheights Church and our community.
