Children's Programs

Family + Church = Maximum Impact!

At Finders Keepers, we acknowledge that parents, siblings and extended family are the primary teachers, mentors and role models in a child's spiritual life. We exist to equip and support parents in that crucial role, and to provide a key environment that, when combined with the power of family, creates lasting impact!

FIRST STEPS NURSERY
(Sundays from 10:20 to 11:30am)

The First Steps Nursery team looks forward to connecting with you as they care for your infant to 2 year-old each week. Leave your baby or toddler with us, or feel free to come in together whenever your child needs a nap, feeding, change or some lively play!

ON YOUR MARK!
(Sundays from 10:30 to 11:45am, Preschoolers from 10:30 to 11:30am)

Who said training for the big race couldn't be loads of fun?

At On Your Mark! kids ages 2-1/2 to 4 (a.k.a. On Your Mark! Preschoolers) and kids in SK to Grade 5 have the opportunity to experience worship in a large-group, multi-age environment. Songs, drama, puppetry, media, games and object lessons bring Bible stories to life, convey biblical truths and principles, and create special moments that will help kids "do" worship!

During the second half of the program, On Your Mark! kids are mentored and "coached" in a small-group setting. They meet with others of the same age-to build friendships, and to discover and reinforce the tools they'll need to "run the race" of faith in Jesus. Discussion, crafts, activities and games are a platform to provoke thought, action and practical skill-building.

Rev up each Sunday and get ready for some energizing spiritual workouts-and a whole lot of celebration-as we run for the prize!

I have fought the good fight. I have finished the race. I have kept the faith. 2 Tim. 4:7

TAKE-IT-HOME EVENTS
(one Sunday each year for each age group, 10:30-11:45am, lunch following)

Take-It-Home Events are an exciting opportunity to do church with your family, and to be encouraged and equipped to do faith at home. Come worship together, be inspired by a faith-building concept you can share at home, and get to know families with children the same age as yours!

For Take-It-Home dates, be sure to check out the Westheights Calendar page.

PROTECTING YOUR CHILDREN

Security: The welfare of your children is of utmost importance at Finders Keepers. All of our workers go through a 6-step screening process, and are expected to follow the supervision ratios and guidelines outlined in Westheights' Plan to Protect Policy. On Sunday mornings, Finders Keepers kids aged birth through Grade 5 must be signed in and out of programs by an approved parent/adult.

Health and wellness: In order to maintain a healthy environment for all children and staff, we ask that children who are ill do not attend Finders Keepers Sunday programs. In particular, to protect our youngest children and their families, infants, toddlers and preschoolers with fever, cough, or known infections will not be admitted to our programs.

Allergy Awareness: We make every effort to educate our staff about allergies, and to make Sunday morning Finders Keepers programs peanut/nut-free events. Please be sure to inform us of all allergy-related issues as your children are registered.
