The Senior Pastor

I recognize that as people consider joining a church they want to know about the Senior Pastor.  So to help you get to know me a little better, I have listed below some of my core values.  These ten things represent principles and convictions that developed in my life both growing up in the church and then as a leader in the church over the last 20 years.  They are guidelines that motivate and inspire me.  They also are the basis for my vision of the church.

MY SPIRITUAL JOURNEY

I came to know Jesus Christ as my Saviour through a small Baptist Church in Owen Sound.  My mother was raising two boys as a single parent and decided we should go to church.  We began attending South End Baptist Church on their Sunday School Bus.  It was there that I heard the good news that God loved me.  Just shortly after my experience with God, I felt a desire to one day serve the Lord in full-time ministry.  That desire has continued to grow and has lead me over the last 15 years to serve God in four churches in three cities-Owen Sound, Kitchener, Fort Erie and Kitchener again.  Today my wife, Kim, and I find ourselves returning to Kitchener with the desire to serve God at Westheights Community Church.
